Registration ends August 9: Demystifying Sight Translation in Healthcare Settings

Margarita Bekker, CoreCHI™, interpreter, educator and trainer at Stanford University Medical Center, and Chair of the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters will be presenting a 3-hour "Sight Translation in Healthcare" workshop on Saturday, August 12 featuring:

- How to master this skill, one of the most difficult ones in any interpreting event, as it requires a balance of interpreting and translation.

- Identifying elements of equivalency constituting accurate sight translation of a healthcare document and corresponding interpreting sub-skills needed to master this mode.

- Practical guidelines for assessing and improving mastery of sight translation.

- The presentation is conducted in English and meant for experienced interpreters.
