This half-day course is geared towards intermediate users of Wordfast Pro who want to learn more advanced features of the tool. We will start out by configuring Wordfast so that you can leverage machine translation. We will then learn how to translate Excel and PowerPoint files (HTML at the end if time allows). Having translated a few files, we will configure and perform advanced Transcheck features on them. We will end the day with TM management issues related to find and replace, importing/exporting, and alignment.
Intermediate workshop objectives:
• Translating, editing, and proofreading HTML, Excel, PowerPoint files
• Importing TMs and glossaries
• Find and Replace in the TM
• Setting up and using machine translation
• Advanced Transcheck configurations
• WF alignment with WF Aligner (PC) and WF Anywhere (PC and Mac)
NB: Participants must bring their own laptops to the workshop as there will be no on-site computers.
